McKim, Mead & White's Last Building

The architects McKim, Mead and White designed some of America's great buildings, including the main campus of Columbia University and the original Pennsylvania Station in New York. For the 100th anniversary of their last building, an athletic club in New York City, I photographed the club with my 8x10 view camera. The unusual images include courts of ancient games such as racquets and court tennis. The club published an oversized book of the photographs, with an introduction by architect Sam White, the great-grandson of Stanford White. The photos are now part of the collection of a museum.
